One of those days

I watched the Olympic opening ceremonies last night but I'd had such a bizarre day that I wasn't really in the mood.  I found it a little boring, to tell the truth... I really think it would have been more interesting if they'd have let a bunch of lions loose in BC Place once everybody came in.  Just like the original Olympics!  Heh.

And that's probably more about me than you needed to know.

Love Shelley!

  1. I hope you are feeling a bit better today although after being rebuffed when trying to help seems to linger for a while. What you need to realize is, you wanted to help and you tried - that it wasn't well-received is beyond you. We can't make someone take the help but it's better to offer than to leave someone floundering who really needs the help. Good for you to offer.

  2. Great images depict how you were feeling. Remember you had the courage to reach out!!! How the recipient will react is beyond your control and determined by their own issues and state of mind at the time.

  3. I think it is just perfect - says all you need to say. I agree with Tammy and Timaree - do not let the rebuff keep you from offering assistance. Most times, I would bet that your help is the thing that helps get the recipient through the day. Be true to yourself and all will be right with your world.

Who knows, this person might have been embarrassed... they couldn't accept your help gracefully.

BTW - I love the little guy in the lower right - where did you find him?

  5. I think this is a great page and great expression of how you are feeling. We can only understand ourselves - others have to deal with themselves. Reaching out makes us vulnerable - human. I am glad you took the risk.

  7. love the look of this journal page! your lettering and the color combo's are just yummy.

olympics: my husband and i were just talking about the same thing. it's almost become too polished. i think there's better broadcasting and hype over the x games then the olympics. so sad.
