You Asked For It.

A couple of weeks ago, someone asked if I would share a photo of my desk.  The place where I create, where the muse visits me, where THE MAGIC HAPPENS.  Well, she didn't put it quite that way, but I'm feeling dramatic.

Anyway, here it is.  I've highlighted the exact, actual spot where THE MAGIC HAPPENS.   **jazz hands**

So... now you know.

I'm kind of sorry you had to see that.  But I'm just keepin' it real.  HA!

Have a great day, everybody.  Love Shelley!

  1. Thanks for showing us the authentic you. My desk looks yours - not just the surface, but the actual desk. I got mine way back in '81 when I started high school.

  2. I have just a bit more surface to work on but I need that bit more! Last night I had a book open on my table and was working with paint so I put a sheet of waxed paper over the open book and worked right there. I have trouble finding places to keep everything where I can grab it or remember I have it. How about you? Are you just liking to keep everything out at once or do you have trouble finding a place for everything?

  3. AWESOME!!!! Love that little pirate-hat-shaped work area where the "magic happens"! My question to you - do you feel like your desk represents your memory? As in, does your brain feel "cluttered" like your desk? And, if it does, what does my spartan desk say about me? Am I an AIR-HEAD????!!!! BWA-HA-HA-HAAAAA!!!!

  4. What a great picture, Shelley! I feel like I have a "companion on the journey" having seen your workspace. Yup, I'm feeling pretty normal right about now!

  5. so very glad I'm not alone with my definition of "work area"....mindcho the more space, the more mess...I'm proof of that theory as well!

  7. HAHA jazz hands!!!

I can't believe you came over to my house and saw what I had and STOLE it!! That's right! Tiny little work space was MY idea I tell you! Okay, yeah, you changed the outline of the working space just enough to say it was all your idea but still....

It is nice to know that we aren't alone in these things, isn't it, hehe.
