I am a crappy blogger.
I tell you guys I'm going to be back and show you stuff after it's done, then I either finish it and forget all about it, or get all dazzled by a new idea and never finish the initial project in the first place.
I go weeks or months between posts.
I make stuff then forget to show you.
I haven't updated my profile or links or anything in for-ev-er.
BUT. I did a Real Blogger move a few weeks ago and looked at my stats, and I realized that the only two posts that have had over 100 views are the one with the tag "Satan's Testicles" (you guys are weird) and the one with this little book I made.
And that made me realize that one of YOUR favourite things was also one of MY favourite things. So I made another one.
This one's a bit smaller - 3 ½" x 3 ⅝" x 2 ½" thick. You know what it's perfect for? Instagram photos. Or Instax photos. Or just using as a junk journal. Or... something even more creative that I haven't even thought of yet. It has over 750 pages. Which is insane, but in a good way.
And, remember how yesterday I showed you my craft room, or at least some parts of it? Well, I managed to gather up 4 big bags/bins of material for making these little books. (Formerly spread all over the place.) So you haven't seen the last of them.
Want one? Go see it in my etsy shop. And I'll let you know when I make the next one. I PROMISE. No really, this time it's for real. Pinky swear. Oh fine, I know you won't believe it until you see it. Fair enough.
Until then!

Making some good stuff over here
So I was digging around in my stash yesterday and I was finding so many cool things that I decided to put together a couple of journals for my etsy shop. It's been really empty and lame for far too long.
You never really know what you have until you start exploring... at least that's been my experience. No wonder this room is such a mess!
These books turned out so great that if they don't sell, I'll be more than happy to keep them for myself. Hee!! That's a win/win situation. They fit perfectly in the hand, substantial enough to feel like you have something important yet small enough to tuck in your bag and take on the road.
I love the watercolor paper, and the different kinds of blank sheets, but probably my favourites are the bits of goodies that are stuck in, just begging to be doodled on and thickened up with souvenirs of the day. I purposely used bigger rings than necessary so it has room to grow.
I'd love it if you would check them out. Let me know what you think! If they turn out to be popular I'll make a couple of bigger ones next time. I still have plenty of stash left.
Here are a couple of sneak previews that aren't in the listings:
I hope you're having a fantastic weekend... I'm off to do all the chores I neglected while I was

Where IS that girl?

One of the things I worked on this week was this book of lists for a swap I was involved in. Don't you love that cover paper?

I started off with two of these daytimer booklets that I had lying around. I took them apart and threw away the covers first. And before you get all, "Oh-emm-gee, she knows BOOKBINDING!" um, no. Not really. I just folded and stapled the new cover onto the two sets of book innards, see? The paper is simply double-sided cardstock.

I put a strip of black cardstock along the spine to hide the messy staples and to make the whole thing look a little more finished, and voila! Fancy shmancy.

A prompt on each page, with random stamped images throughout, and a little love on the cover, and it's done. It only took a few hours (mostly for the prompts, not the cover treatment) and I'm happy to put my name on the back. Wow, do I love that paper. I'll have to find something cool to use the scraps on!

Next up: I'll show you what I've been doing with that art journal I've been working on. In the meantime, I have to make some CARDS! And then I'll show you those too, pinky swear.
Enjoy your weekend!
Love Shelley!
